Professional Background:
Donna G. San Luis – Sansano, as a Senior Partner and part of the Corporate and Commercial team of the Firm, brings over two decades of established experience in corporate and commercial law, with particular focus on structuring contracts and guiding businesses through complex transactions. She has advised clients, drafted, reviewed and negotiated various contracts for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders agreements and other transaction agreements. Trained for blending legal parameters and compliance with practical business insight, she delivers contracts and agreements that balances clients’ protection and their commercial objectives.
Having gained the opportunity as embedded counsel to certain clients, she provides day-to-day legal and governance support aligned with the clients’ operational priorities, and bridges firm expertise with the clients’ needs, ensuring integration of external advisory and decision-making. Her client-facing work underscores her commitment to partnership and client service, allowing her to deliver both immediate operational value and long-term strategic guidance. She is also valued for a collaborative approach—working closely with the clients’ accountants, tax specialists, auditors, financial advisers, other counsels and consultants, to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
Beyond transactional work, she also serves as corporate secretary in certain companies and advisor to boards and executive teams.
She continues to mentor associates, contribute to Firm policy development, and strengthen client relationships.
Ms. San Luis – Sansano graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Management from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), and subsequently earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the Far Eastern University Institute of Law (FEU‑IL), Manila, where she received the Nicanor Reyes Leadership Award. Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2004, she has since been a bona fide member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Bulacan Chapter. She also serves as Trustee–Private Practitioner of the Kababaihang Manananggol ng Bulacan (KMB).
